After years of planning, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure proceeded with the Boultbee Road drainage ditch modifications in early November. New culverts are intended to redirect spring run-off water under the road, into small above-ground settling ponds,then along and under the upgraded lake access road, and finally down an open ditch into the lake. Road degradation and potential property damage along the previous route should be considerably mitigated by this design. Since snow started during the last days of the project, crews will be back in the spring to complete the outstanding clean-up and landscaping.
