Dessie Marshall, granddaughter of long time Boultbee Road residents, Alex and Marion Marshall, is making the lake cabin her temporary residence while she continues to travel the west coast of North America showcasing her unique art of carved plants leaves. Several ladies on Boultbee Road enjoyed a private viewing of her work in August and all agreed, it really must be seen and touched to be fully appreciated. The owners of Lac des Roches Resort invited Dessie to use their restaurant to display some of her work for their guests and the public on Sunday, Sept. 6. Dessie was there to explain her art form and what inspired her creativity. Her passion is contagious and could change the way one looks at leaves forever. Her art remained on display in the restaurant throughout the fall and can be viewed on her website, violenthippieart.com.
