The ladies Sunday treks are officially snowshoe trips now that there is adequate snow. With the snow came the assurance that a small fire for their traditional “smokie on a bun” lunch is safe. During the hiking season, the ladies explored the hills around Lac des Roches and have added at least a dozen more routes to their existing inventory of local routes of all levels of difficulty. All ladies with any level of comfort on snowshoes are invited to join the group for a day of fun. Routes, their length and the appropriate starting points are determined once the day’s participants are finalized. Hikes are every Sunday. Hikes are never cancelled although they may not occur if all the participants decide not to go. Call Sharron at 250-593-0041 by Saturday night if you wish to join the next day’s hike.
